How to Get an MBA in Life

What are your major strengths and competitive advantages? These will be mainly determined by the upcoming SWOT analysis, but if you are confident that you know them already then you are good to go. Otherwise, after the SWOT analysis, you might be in a slightly better position to fill in your mission statement.

 

What are your responses to social, community and environmental concerns? You merely have to look around to see what sort of time you have been contributing towards these types of causes. If you have not been, how does this make you feel? If it makes you feel that you want to do something to change this, then you will later set this as one of your main objectives. Determining the approach can be left to the strategies you are going to be working on later.

 

Are extended family considered to be a valuable asset? One would hope that the answer would be yes, but it would not be the first time that an individual did not have any respect for him or herself. One would also assume that this would be an integral part of the mission statement if the answer to the question were actually no. Just the fact that you have gotten this far in reading this book indicates some level of self-esteem since you are at least prepared to try some process of self-actualization.

Cars: an unrequited love affair Most people love cars. So much of our persona can be wrapped up in the way we transport ourselves. Most males fondly remember their first vehicle. Even if it was a piece of turd. If you had a turd in high school, you were the boss. The Sunbeam Alpine became my first vehicle. Fire engine red with fins and a 1600 cc engine. An elastic held on the front bumper. Stopping suddenly meant that the bumper bounced up and down a few times. I cannot remember why I used an elastic. It was likely an emergency fix and it was all that I had around. Inertia prevented me from replacing the elastic with some wire which would have been a far better fix.
